Drivers should still anticipate overnight delays with multiple work zones near Fredericksburg scheduled through early Saturday, April 21.

The public is invited to attend a design public hearing on Wednesday, April 18, to learn more about a project to widen and reconstruct Route 639 (Ladysmith Road) between Route 1 and Interstate 95 in Caroline County

Work is anticipated to take three weeks to complete.

The 95 Express Lanes reversal will be adjusted this weekend to support increased traffic visiting Washington D.C. for the “March For Our Lives” demonstration on Saturday, March 24.

Expect overnight double lane closures and two total traffic stops on I-95 northbound near Exit 143/Garrisonville for overhead sign removal

The on-ramp to Interstate 95 southbound at Exit 140 from Courthouse Road in Stafford County will remain OPEN this week.

The 140-foot-tall sign was leaning and bent, causing VDOT to close southbound lanes of I-95 in Woodbridge and reroute traffic onto the express lanes.

If you encounter a downed power line, do not try to move the line. Stay away from the line and report the hazard.

Beginning the evening of Monday, March 5, crews will close the existing on-ramp from Courthouse Road to I-95 southbound to begin milling and paving the temporary ramp.

Work planned for Feb. 25, 2018 – March 3, 2018

Flashing yellow arrows will be installed at several traffic signals in the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula to help drivers turn left safely against oncoming traffic.

Beginning Wednesday, Feb. 21, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will be prohibiting left turns from Butler Road to Carter Street and Colonial Avenue in Stafford County to enhance safety near the Falmouth intersection.

Drivers in the Courthouse Road area of Stafford County are noticing increased construction activity at the Exit 140 interchange on Interstate 95.

The road is anticipated to be closed until mid-June 2018.
