The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is revising its original lane and ramp closure schedule for the Interstate 95 Exit 130/Route 3 interchange safety improvement project in Fredericksburg after crews finished paving ahead of schedule.

A scheduled annual inspection of the Downing Bridge in Tappahannock will require an overnight lane closure on Route 360 over the Rappahannock River on the evenings of Friday, April 27 through Wednesday, May 9.

Motorists should anticipate overnight delays and lane closures on Interstate 95 with multiple work zones scheduled near Fredericksburg this week through early Saturday, April 28.

Crews still need to put new markings on the repaired road, but it is open for travel.

Public meetings have been scheduled to share final recommendations from a transportation planning study of the Route 301 corridor in Caroline and King George counties, and the Route 207 corridor in Caroline.

Beginning April 22, drivers are asked to be alert for overnight lane closures this spring on Route 1 in Spotsylvania County as crews begin to mill and pave multiple sections of this primary road between the City of Fredericksburg and the Spotsylvania Parkway area.
