VDOT says crews are using a crane to remove beams from the Chatham Bridge over the Rappahannock River channel Wednesday and Thursday.
Rappahannock River will close to river traffic underneath the Chatham Bridge from 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Wednesday, 8/20 & Thursday, 8/20 to allow crews to remove bridge beams
Starting Monday, paddlers on the Rappahannock River will portage at the I-95 bridges in Fredericksburg to safely navigate around bridge construction as part of the I-95 Southbound Rappahannock River Crossing project.
The quick actions of these three students helped provide emergency assistance and calm during the incident.
New 85-foot long pipe will be installed on Fox Chase Lane near Heathermoore Place and an 80-foot long double box culvert will be installed on Bloomsbury Lane near Springbrook Terrace
Train 300, which departs Spotsylvania at 4:54 a.m., will take commuters northbound and train 307, which departs Union Station at 4:10 p.m., will carry them southbound.
VDOT and contractor crews are conducting scheduled bridge load testing as part of the bridge’s routine maintenance and inspection.
