Civil War Trails tells of another small town, big story from the war. A sign has been installed at Shiloh Church on Stevensburg Road in Brandy Station of nurse Cornelia Hancock.
She was a volunteer nurse stationed at the Brandy Station field hospital and is one of the rare women who lived and worked near the front lines during the war. Hancock experimented with hops and yeast for medicinal purposes.
