Scott Mayausky says he’s trying to avoid a big surprise at income tax filing time

As part of an ongoing series exploring the impact COVID-19 has had on the local economy, Stafford Commissioner of the Revenue Scott Mayausky looks at the Transient Occupancy tax better known as the “Hotel Tax.”

Prince William Supervisors have voted unanimously to ask the Commonwealth Transportation Board to rename about 12 miles of Jefferson Davis Highway to Richmond Highway.

Next steps include the appointment of the members whose responsibilities will include making recommendations to the Board of Supervisors on policies and activities

The program is a unique peer leadership opportunity fostering healthy communities and the prevention of substance misuse.

Stafford Supervisors passed a resolution affirming the board’s support of the rights of county residents and visitors to keep and bear arms.

“I showed it to the store owner,” she told Lottery officials. “He said, ‘Congratulations, Kelly. Now put it away and go home!’”

The cost is $10 per pet, and you must pre-register online or by visiting the Stafford Treasurer’s Office.

Fourteen organizations were awarded amounts ranging from $10,193 to $59,200. The grants were based upon the size and demonstrated needs of each organization.

Ask to see their ID Badge. Census takers must present a field badge that includes a photograph of themselves, a Department of Commerce watermark, and an expiration date. 

Census takers will display a valid ID badge with their photograph, a U.S Department of Commerce watermark, and an expiration date. They may also carry Census Bureau bags and other items with the Census logo.
