Virginia Senator Tim Kaine says if the government shuts down this weekend your ability to fly to your destination could change.
Speaking on the Senate floor, Senator Kaine provided stories from Virginians in Fredericksburg, Orange and Falls Church (and others) about how a shutdown would impact their families.
Fredericksburg City Council vote 6-1 (Duffy-no) to approve consolidating seven exisitng special use permits and expands the use of church-owned properties on Stafford and Augustine Avenues and Royston Street. On Royston, hours of use are slightly less.
Warner and Kaine say everyone will be impacted. He says getting rid of the passport backlog will stop along with NIH research, air traffic control, even Shenandoah National Park during leaf season.
