VIDEO: Friends of the Rappahannock and James Monroe High School are working together in a program called “Trout in the Classroom.” Representatives from Friends of the Rappahannock talked to students in Michelle High’s class about their responsibilities from now until the fish are released in April.

PHOTOS: The U-S Fish and Wildlife Service and the Conservation Fund gathered in Richmond County to celebrate the preservation of 252 acres at Fones Cliffs. The Rappahannock River Valley Wildlife Refuge isn’t open yet. Officials say road work and fencing near the cliffs still must be completed.
