We celebrate George every year in February, but let’s not forget about his sister, Betty! She’s turning 290 this month, and we’re hosting a celebration at her home, Historic Kenmore. Even though Betty Washington Lewis was actually born on June 20, 1733, her party is on Saturday, June 24.
Partygoers will eat a Crumbl Cookie and sip a cup of tea, learn about life as a lady in the 18th century, play games, and explore 18th-century hobbies, fashion, and more. Visitors are also welcome to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the lawn during the event.
Birthday festivities are included with a general admission ticket to the Historic Kenmore mansion and all museum exhibits, or guests may purchase party tickets that include entry to the Crowninshield Museum exhibit.
