The Caroline Sheriff’s Office says on December 27, members of the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigations Division, assisted by members of the Tri-County Narcotics Task Force, arrested three suspects and served a search warrant on a camper in the Four Winds Campground community.
The Sheriff’s Office says the arrests were the result of an undercover drug operation involving multiple undercover purchases of methamphetamine from 57 year-old Darren Field and 58 year-old Mary Lemons of Rappahannock Academy. While serving the search warrant, investigators and deputies arrested Field and Lemons, then found 32 year-old Crystal Harris of Stafford in the camper with her young children.
During the search of the camper, Investigators reported finding suspected methamphetamine, digital weight scales, methamphetamine packaging materials, and methamphetamine smoking devices. Darren Field was charged with three counts of distribution of methamphetamine and was held at the Pamunkey Regional Jail under no bond. Mary Lemons was charged with distribution of methamphetamine and conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine; she was held at the Pamunkey Regional Jail under a $4,500.00 secured bond. Crystal Harris was charged with possession of methamphetamine, child endangerment, and child neglect; she was held at the Pamunkey Regional Jail under a $2,000.00 secured bond.
