From Tree Fredericksburg

This is a long post that includes information about the rescheduled native plant and tree pickup / sale schedule. Please read it in its entirety and then, if you still have questions, let us know.
We will begin distributing our trees and shrubs starting on Sunday, September 24th at 3 pm at the Nats Stadium, 42 Jackie Robinson Way, 22401. We will have volunteers at the Nats stadium from 3 to 5 pm on Sunday. We will also have volunteers on the following days and times:
Monday, 9/25 – 10am-12 noon and 4 pm to 6 pm
Tuesday, 9/26- 10am-12 noon and 4 pm to 6 pm
Wednesday, 9/27 – 10am-12 noon and 4 pm to 6 pm
Thursday, 9/28 – 10am-12 noon and 4 pm to 6 pm
We must vacate the stadium parking lot by Friday afternoon because of a large event next weekend. We really need for you to come and get your trees if at all possible. if none of these days/times works for you, go to our website www.treefredericksburg.org and send me an email. We will try and accommodate everyone but please try to make one of our times above. Moving a bunch of trees is not easy and we are an all-volunteer organization.
When you come to pick up your trees, we will be asking you to help load your trees. We will not have the full cadre of volunteers on these dates. FYI – The one-gallon trees are 6 inches in diameter and the three-gallon trees are10 inches in diameter. Some of the trees are about 5 ft tall but they will bend to fit in your car. It is better for the plants to not be in wind – it destroys the buds. We will have stakes to sell for $1, moisture meters for $5 and free tree tie for all.
We really appreciate the support that all of you have given to Tree Fredericksburg over the past years and hope we can count on you to plant more native trees in the future.
Best regards
