Make plans to join Washington Heritage Museums on July 4 at the Hugh Mercer Apothecary Shop for a live reading of the Declaration of Independence.
Readings are at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm. If you are coming to the 11:00 am or 1:00 pm reading, be sure to bring the children to the Rising Sun Tavern Museum at the conclusion of the reading for more family fun with a story time, face painting, and family fun.
The outdoor activities are FREE and tours of the museums are available for an admission fee.
The Mary Washington House Rising Sun Tavern Museum and Hugh Mercer Apothecary Shop will all be open on July 4 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Come experience history in Fredericksburg’s 18th century museums!
