From the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office:
On 02/22/2023 at 12:11PM, units responded to Carter Bank and Trust located at 10407 Courthouse Road in Spotsylvania County for a bank robbery. Upon arrival, witnesses stated that the suspect had fled the scene in a vehicle. Detectives processed the scene and was able to recover crucial evidence.
Through the investigation, it was determined that the description given by witnesses matched a suspect who was a person of interest for the same types of crimes in Prince William County. Evidence was shared between jurisdictions and it was determined that the suspect was David Emanuel Andrews, twenty-seven years of age from Dumfries, VA.
On 02/23/2023, Detectives assisted Prince William County Police with the execution of a search warrant in the Dumfries area at which time Andrews was taken into custody and charged with robbery.
