22-year old King George woman charged in March Spotsy shooting

The Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in a shooting that occurred March 5 at Cancun Margarita Bar and Grill on Plank Road.  Early that morning, Deputies  arrived and found that a large fight started in the restaurant and moved outside to the parking lot.  During the assault one male victim was shot in the hip and another male victim suffered seriously head injuries during the assault.  Detectives initially had several uncooperative witnesses, but were able to develop a suspect by video surveillance.

Last Thursday  with the assistance of the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office and King George County Sheriff’s Office, 22-year old Adriana G. Hernandez, twenty-two-year old female from King George County was arrested for two counts of malicious wounding, malicious wounding by mob, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.  Hernandez was taken before the Magistrate an incarcerated under no bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.  Both victims in this case have since been released from the hospital and the investigation is still ongoing.
