Fall Foliage Report for Virginia State Parks
Welcome to our fall foliage report for 2021. Each week we will be taking pictures at various parks and highlighting them below. The parks will also be sharing the conditions of the leaf color.
For the week of October 18, the weather is in full fall mode with crisp mornings and warm evenings, but many trees are hanging on to summer for as long as possible. Colors are still changing slowly, with lots of leaves dancing to the ground. You’ll find crunch under your feet on our trails. The mountains have begun to be draped in beautiful fall colors from some of our overlooks, like Clyburn Ridge and Molly’s Knob. Lakes and rivers are lined with spots of color to see, as well. Grab a sweater and head to any of our parks for a great early fall experience!
