Attention Trail Users:
For your safety, please use caution near the I-95 bridges in Fredericksburg as crews have begun lifting the large steel beams for the future I-95 southbound bridge over the Rappahannock River.
Watch for construction equipment, truck traffic and shifts to the trail alignment near the river.
Follow posted signs and stay behind the orange barrels or concrete barrier.
There may be periods where crews will stop all recreational traffic from entering or exiting the work zone to move equipment or lift a bridge beam into place. Trail users may be stopped up to 15 minutes at a time.
