Impacts of the pandemic:
Spotsylvania is canceling its annual “Stars and Stripes Spectacular” leading up to July 4th. The event was planned for June 27th. But the county says the decision to cancel was made because of the social limits that are in place as part of Virginia’s phased reopening plan. Plans regarding a rescheduled date for the event may be announced at a later time.
The Heritage Festival in Fredericksburg has been cancelled. That includes the annual 5-mile run and a children’s parade.
The Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office has cancelled National Night Out in August and Trunk N Treat in October.
