The Fredericksburg Area Builders Association (FABA) welcomes 85 new members at the conclusion of the October membership drive.
FABA’s October membership drive was the most successful single membership drive for the association in recent history, making FABA the fastest growing home building industry association in the state of Virginia and one of the fastest growing on the east coast. This incredible growth is one of the strongest indicators of industry and consumer confidence in the housing market for the upcoming spring building season.

FABA President and Senior Vice President at the Vakos Companies, Marcus J. Simes, Jr. said, “Congratulations to FABA on the most successful membership drive in recent memory. These 85 new members all have a vested stake in the continued growth of the building industry in our region.” Simes added, “FABA’s presence in the community as business and industry leaders continues to grow with our membership. We will continue to foster healthy and cooperative relationships with the local government officials of each municipality in our service area.”
FABA members are also members of the National Home Builders Association (NAHB) and the Home Builders Association of Virginia (HBAV).

Craig Toalson, CEO of the Home Builders Association of Virginia said, “FABA’s growing membership adds to HBAV’s membership and our industries messaging efforts that Virginia must supply quality housing choices for all citizens of the Commonwealth.” HBAV works to protect the housing climate in Virginia by advocating to state law maker and regulators in Richmond.
