Districtwide Flashing Yellow Arrow Project
(New) Sunday – Wednesday, 7 p.m. – 5 a.m. Crews will be working at the following intersections to install flashing yellow arrows at several traffic signals in the Fredericksburg District to help drivers turn left safely against oncoming traffic. Flaggers will direct drivers through the intersection. Virginia State Police will also assist with traffic control. Expect brief delays near the following intersections.

Interstate 95 Bridge Rehabilitation Project
Work is underway to improve the deck and substructure on several bridges located on I-95 in Stafford and Spotsylvania.
Stafford County: I-95 Bridge over Potomac Creek at mile marker 137
The I-95 bridges over Potomac Creek are located just before Exit 136 (Centreport Parkway) at mile marker 137.
· I-95 Southbound:
o Monday – Friday, 9 p.m. ˗˗ 10 a.m. Friday, 10 p.m. ˗˗ 7 a.m.
§ 9 p.m. – one lane closed
§ 10 p.m. – 4:30 a.m. – two lanes closed
§ 4:30 a.m. ˗˗ A single lane will remain closed until 10 a.m. the following morning except on Friday when all lanes will reopen at 6 a.m.

Spotsylvania County: I-95 Bridge over Ni River at mile marker 121
The I-95 bridges over the Ni River are located just south of Exit 126/Massaponax at mile marker 121.

§ 9 p.m. – one lane closed
§ 10 p.m. – 4:30 a.m. – two lanes closed

Interstate 95 (Exit 140/Courthouse Road)
Work is underway on a project to improve the I-95 interchange at Exit 140 (Route 630/Courthouse Road). The project includes building a diverging diamond interchange at Exit 140, relocating the Courthouse Road and Route 1 intersection to the south to align with Hospital Center Boulevard, and widening Courthouse Road to four lanes from Cedar Lane to Ramoth Church Road.

Interstate 95 at Exit 118/Mudd Tavern Road Widening and Bridge Replacement Project
Crews are working to improve the interchange on Interstate 95 at Exit 118 (Mudd Tavern Road). The project will build a new I-95 overpass and improve on and off-ramps on Mudd Tavern Road, improve Mudd Tavern Road east of I-95, and Mallard Road.
Interstate 95 Southbound at Exit 118
(New) Monday – Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Expect a single, left lane on I-95 southbound to be closed near the interchange for construction activities. Expect brief delays.
(New) Monday – Thursday, 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. and Friday, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Expect the left- turn lane to be closed at the southbound off-ramp to Mudd Tavern Road. Flaggers will direct drivers looking to make a left turn onto Mudd Tavern Road from southbound I-95.
Interstate 95 Northbound at Exit 118
(Update) Monday – Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Expect a single, left lane on I-95 northbound closed at the interchange for construction activities. Expect brief delays. At Exit 118A, drivers should also be alert to crews and construction equipment along the shoulder of the off-ramp.
Route 606 (Mudd Tavern Road)
(Update) Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. and Friday, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Expect alternating, one-way traffic on Route 606 (Mudd Tavern Road) at the I-95 overpass for storm sewer installation. Flaggers will direct drivers through the work zone. Expect brief delays.

Route 651 (Kellogg Mill Road)
(New) Monday, 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. Expect alternating, one-way traffic on Route 651 (Kellogg Mill Road) at the bridge over Potomac Run for bridge repairs. Flaggers will direct traffic over the bridge. Expect brief delays at the bridge approaches.

Route 3 (Plank Road)
(New) Monday ˗˗ Friday, 9 p.m. ˗˗5 a.m. Expect alternating, single lane closures on eastbound Route 3 (Plank Road) near Taskforce Drive for a sewer line replacement project. This is a Spotsylvania County project. Expect overnight delays.
Route 608 (Benchmark Road) CLOSED
(Update) As of Monday, Feb. 19, Benchmark Road is closed to through traffic between Route 17 and Mine Road. The road will remain closed for approximately four months to replace three deteriorated drainage pipes. Drivers are encouraged to use the recommended detour of Route 2 (Tidewater Trail) and Route 17 (Mills Drive).
Route 609 (Jim Morris Road)
(Update) Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Expect alternating, one-way traffic on Route 609 (Jim Morris Road) between Route 17 (Mills Drive) and Wheatland Woods Drive for pipe work. Gardenia Drive

Lancaster County/Middlesex County Work Zone
Route 3 and Robert O. Norris Bridge
Temporary traffic signals are installed at the center spans of the Norris Bridge on Route 3 between Lancaster and Middlesex counties. Two temporary signals control one-way, alternating traffic at the bridge’s center spans 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Crews are using the closed lane to paint the center spans of the bridge over the Rappahannock River. The signals will remain in place until the end of the painting project in June 2018.
Richmond County Work Zone
Route 3 (Historyland Highway) Business
(New) Wednesday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Expect alternating, single lane closures on Route 3 Business (Historyland Highway) near Belle Ville Lane for roadway improvements. Flaggers will direct drivers through the work zone. Expect brief delays.
Route 3 at Route 608 (Farnham Creek Road)
Monday˗˗ Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Route 3 will be reduced to a single lane just west of the intersection with Route 608 (Farnham Creek Road) for an emergency pipe rehabilitation project over Laton’s Swamp. One-way, alternating traffic will be directed through the work zone. Expect brief delays. Project completion is May 29, 2018.
