From Rappahannock United Way
Rappahannock United Way recently presented Stafford Junction with $9,000 to fund a Financial Life Skills Program. This program helps local individuals and families achieve their potential through learning financial-related skills such as budgeting, how to improve or repair their credit, how to open a savings or checking account, how to build their savings and more.
“This program helps people learn to budget and work within their means,” said Janel Donohue, President of Rappahannock United Way. “Many of these families feel overwhelmed by financial debt. Helping people learn new skills to build positive financial practices is so important when it comes to strengthening our community.”
