The Center for Career and Professional Development at the University of Mary Washington invites you to participate in our Summer Job & Internship Fair which will be held on April 11, 2018 from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. in the University Center, Chandler Ballroom on the Fredericksburg campus.
This fair offers you the opportunity to recruit high quality UMW students to intern or work during Summer 2018. The University of Mary Washington has selective admission standards and a curriculum that emphasizes writing, public speaking, and problem-solving skills. Our graduates make excellent grad students, employees and interns, and this fair is the perfect forum for meeting many of them.
Registration will be through a site called Handshake.
If you are new to Handshake, follow these steps:
1. Visit https://app.joinhandshake.com/register
2. Select the “Employer” account type from the options presented
3. Fill out the information requested then click Sign-up
4. Once your account is complete, you can register under the ‘Fairs’ tab of your profile
The rates will be the following:
– $150 per organization for two representatives
– Additional representatives will be $25 each
This rate includes one six foot table for displays and marketing materials, two chairs, parking, promotion on our website and throughout the University, wireless capabilities, and refreshments.
Once we receive your completed registration form in Handshake, we will contact you with payment information. Payment can be taken by check or credit card (via an online payment form- a link will be provided in the invoice). Credit card numbers cannot be taken over the phone. There is a credit card processing fee if you elect this option. Please allow one week from completing your registration to receive your invoice.
Students from both the Fredericksburg and Stafford campuses will be invited to attend, and it will be actively promoted on both campuses. Space is limited for this event. If you have any questions, please contact us at 540-654-5646 or email [email protected].
