From Stafford Sheriff’s Office
Deputies with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man on Saturday who attempted to break into a residence and vehicle while claiming to be under the influence of LSD.
On December 16, 2017 at approximately 4:30 p.m., deputies responded to a call regarding a man behaving erratically. When deputies arrived at the scene, the man, later identified as Sang Yu, 25, claimed to be under the influence of LSD.
Yu, who was wearing pajamas, refused to identify himself or advise deputies of his place of residence. Yu was taken into custody and a neighbor was able to direct the deputies to Yu’s residence.
Deputies spoke with the original caller who told them that he observed a man pulling on the handle of his car door. The door was locked, and the man was unable to gain access to the vehicle.
Deputies also learned that Yu approached a woman walking her dogs and repeatedly directed vulgar comments towards her. She fled the scene and later observed Yu pounding on the door of a nearby residence. The resident was in the house at the time and heard a thumping sound on the door.
Yu was incarcerated at Rappahannock Regional Jail on an unsecured bond of $6000. He is charged with attempted breaking and entering, entering or setting into motion a motor vehicle, disorderly conduct, intoxicated in public, and failure to identify himself to law enforcement.
