The first concert of Central Rappahannock Regional Library’s 2016 Music on the Steps series had a surprise guest who stole the show. A child danced to the music of Dixie Power Trio, seen through the front doors of Headquarters Branch, 1201 Caroline St., in downtown Fredericksburg.
The 31st annual Music on the Steps free concert series will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Mondays through August 29. There will not be a concert on Monday, July 4.

July 11 – Angela Easterling
July 18 – Don Brown’s Soul Experience
July 25 – The Dangerous Kitchen
August 1 – Jeni & Billy
August 8 – Moch Pryderi
August 15 – Fredericksburg Jazz Collective and Friends
August 22 – Wylder
August 29 – Davis Bradley
Bring a lawn chair or a blanket, and a picnic supper. In case of inclement weather, the concerts move into the theater.
