Motorists traveling on Interstate 95 southbound in the Fredericksburg area Friday night, March 18, 2016, and Saturday morning could experience delays due to an emergency bridge deck repair near Exit 133/Route 17 in Stafford County.
Single or double lane closures will be in place on I-95 southbound at the Route 17 overpass at the following scheduled times:
· 10 p.m. Single lane closure
· 11 p.m. – 8 a.m. Double lane closure
· 8 − 9 a.m. Single lane closure.
Additionally, two lanes of Route 17 eastbound may be closed underneath the bridge between 10 p.m. and 9 a.m. Saturday.
Crews are repairing multiple potholes in the right and center travel lanes on the bridge deck. This work continues the emergency repair that was underway at the overpass on Thursday evening and early Friday morning.
