Fredericksburg Today Blue Moon Weekend Calendar

by | Aug 6, 2015 | Events

Compiled by Susan Larson for Fredericksburg Today and the B Scene on B101.5 FM at 7:35 a.m. Fridays. Photo courtesy of the Washington Redskins.

It’s a “once in a blue moon” weekend. That’s because Friday (July 31) will have a second full-moon within the month. This occurs about every three years, because the lunar cycle and the calendar year aren’t perfectly synched. The last blue moon in the Americas was in August 2012. The next one? January 2018.

So here are my top picks for the weekend of July 31 – August 2, 2015. Click the links for more information. Know of another event? List it in the comments section!
