Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 10, at the funeral home chapel, with interment in Laurel Hill Memorial Park, 10127 Plank Road Spotsylvania.
Makayla, 7, drowned July 4 at the Lake Wilderness subdivision of Spotsylvania County.

Makayla was born on May 19, 2007, to Deaundrey Lamar Carter and Ashli Nicole Eckler.
She was a student at Brock Road Elementary School.
