Virginia’s 1st Congressional District is comprised of the counties and cities of Caroline, Essex, Fredericksburg, Gloucester, King and Queen, King George, King William, Lancaster, Mathews, Middlesex, Nothumberland, Poquoson, Richmond, Stafford, Westmoreland, Williamsburg, York, Fauquier (part), James City (part), Newport News (part), Prince William (part) and Spotsylvania (part).
Incumbent Congressman Rob Wittman has represented the First District since 2007.

The June 10 Republican primary is open, meaning all registered votes may participate, but must sign an oath of loyalty to the party for the November general election. (See Code of Virginia § 24.2-530)
Polls will be open 6 a.m. – 7 p.m. To locate your polling location, input your address in the online Virginia Election and Registration Information System. You may also check your voter registration status.
