First Friday Fredericksburg is a monthly celebration of the arts. Downtown Fredericksburg galleries, and businesses are open late on the first Friday of every month with art openings and special events. Some restaurants also host openings and special music.
First Friday Trolley, sponsored by the Fredericksburg Arts Commission (FAC), is the new, free public transportation service connecting the downtown network of First Friday locations and events. The trolley service runs on a 15 minute circuit from 6 – 9 p.m. The route map is available for download.
First Friday Trolley debuted in February 2014, and is being run on a three-month trial period, according to the FAC. The service will be extended on the basis of ridership.
