Down Home Ball Benefits Downtown Greens

Downtown Greens is hosting its 2014 Down Home Ball from 6 a.m. – 12 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014. The family friendly event will feature live music by Ashleigh Chevalier, The Kingbolts, Harry Wilson, Becky Y Slam and the Buzzards. There will be a silent auction, free food and a cash bar.

Proceeds will benefit Downtown Greens, the Fredericksburg non-profit that promotes environmental care by maintaining a 3.5 acre landscaped park-style space for the community at 206 Charles St. Staff use sustainable gardening methods, teach children through a weekly garden club and raise bees with the Urban Bees program.

The Down Home Ball will be held at The Recreation Center, 213 William St. in Fredericksburg.

Admission is $15 in advance, $20 at the door, $10 for seniors and students with ID and free for children. Tickets may be purchased at:

Downtown Greens is open to visitors 3 – 6 p.m. Thursdays and 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Saturdays.
