The school division is projected to finish the fiscal year ending June 30 with a $1 million surplus in sales tax revenue. The administration is recommending an additional appropriation to fund one-time maintenance projects, including asphalt resurfacing and the purchase of boilers and maintenance equipment. If the school board approves the request, the next step is to request approval from the board of supervisors at its June 13 meeting.
