The chairman and vice chairwoman of the Stafford County Board of Supervisors, along with the chairwoman and vice chairwoman of the Stafford School Board, will host a joint town hall Tuesday to engage the community in an open discussion about the path forward for the locality and its schools.

The event will take place from 6–8 p.m. in the Colonial Forge High School auditorium, 550 Courthouse Road, Stafford, VA 22554. The evening will begin with a brief welcome, followed by a public forum where attendees are encouraged to ask questions and share feedback about four significant topics:

  • Infrastructure
  • Transportation
  • Budget and Funding
  • Economic Development

According to officials, the event is part of an ongoing commitment by Board of Supervisors Chairman Deuntay Diggs and School Board Chairwoman Maureen Siegmund to strengthen collaboration between the two boards as they work to meet the community’s evolving needs.

“Make no mistake — both our boards are accountable to the people of Stafford for managing our resources wisely and advancing our schools,” Diggs said in an announcement of the meeting. “I am grateful for Chair Siegmund’s partnership and her commitment to working together as One Stafford. This meeting allows us to hear directly from the community in a way that is not always possible in formal settings.”

“Strong schools and a thriving community go hand in hand, and open dialogue is essential to making informed decisions that benefit everyone,” Siegmund said. “I appreciate Chairman Diggs’ commitment to collaboration as we work through important issues facing both of our boards. By working together not just as chairs, but as complete boards, we will find solutions that best serve our students, families and the broader Stafford community.”

Attendees are encouraged to bring questions and comments to the meeting. It will not be streamed or televised.

This collaborative event reflects a shared vision for responsible governance, community engagement and a strong future for Stafford, county government and school officials said. By working together, the boards aim to support an exceptional teaching and learning environment while maintaining sound stewardship of public resources.
