- Mary Washington Healthcare (MWHC) purchased the 20,568-square-foot medical-office building at 1031 Care Way in Fredericksburg last month for $6.7 million, according to Fredericksburg’s monthly deed transfer report. The seller was an affiliate of Gastroenterology Associates of Fredericksburg, which is now part of MWHC and is called Mary Washington Gastroenterology.
- The 6,000-square-foot First Watch location at 10101 Patriot Highway in the Cosner’s Corner area of Spotsylvania County is now expected to open April 28 (two weeks later than originally expected). The popular brunch restaurant is also planning a location at 1160 Carl D. Silver Parkway in Fredericksburg’s Central Park shopping center.
- Brightpath Estates LLC recently purchased the 1,200-square-foot office/retail property at 2773 Richmond Highway, Suite 119, in Stafford County from Aquia Park LLC for $300,000, according to Coldwell Banker Commercial Elite.
- Johnson Realty Advisors announced the following commercial leases in March:
- Alliance Therapy leased a 2,350-square-foot office space at 1701 Fall Hill Ave. (Suite 111) in Fredericksburg.
- Will Smith leased a 4,200-square-foot office space at 24 Onville Road in Stafford.

- McKinney Blvd LLC bought the 6,400-square-foot, 5-acre industrial property at 10964 Bloomsbury Road in King George County from John Simpson for $525,000.
- Costa Verde Food bought the 14,200-square-foot industrial condominium at 3550 Lee Hill Drive (Suite 104) in Spotsylvania from 3550 LHD LLC for $2.059 million.
- There were 77 homes sold last week in the Fredericksburg region, according to FAAR, including a $2.175 million sale in Milford. Check back weekly for the new list.
A Chipotle location is scheduled to open this month at 10424 Courthouse Road (near intersection of Leavells Road) in Spotsylvania.

- Novel, a community-focused bookstore, and Green Eyed Vines, a plant-sales company, are now open at 212 William St. in Downtown Fredericksburg.
- Long Family Markets’ Stafford farmers market is now open every Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the back corner of the commuter lot at 163 Staffordboro Blvd. The company plans to add a Spotsylvania market Wednesday afternoons at 9015 Old Battlefield Blvd. (Spotsylvania Merchant Square) starting May 7. The Fredericksburg Farmers Market at Hurkamp Park will open Saturday. The Spotsylvania Farmers Market on Saturday mornings at 12150 Gordon Road opened this past weekend.
- A Honduran restaurant called La Campirana Catracha recently opened at 570 Celebrate Virginia Parkway, Unit 103, in Stafford.
- Endless Swings Indoor Golf recently opened at 20 Berkshire Drive, Suite 107, off Garrisonville Road in North Stafford.
- Mi Rancho Authentic Mexican Food recently opened at 2869 Richmond Highway in Stafford. The restaurant also has a location near the Spotsylvania Towne Centre.
- The Fredericksburg Country Club this year is celebrating i
ts 100th anniversary. The club plans a number of events this year to mark the milestone, including history talks, a centennial gala, and retro-themed golf and tennis tournaments.
- A gluten-free bakery called Fearless is planned at 610 Caroline St. in Downtown Fredericksburg. Always Flavored recently moved from that space to 619 Caroline St.
- A Chase Bank branch is under construction at 25 Banks Ford Parkway along U.S. 17 in Stafford. Chase Bank has also recently opened branches along Garrisonville Road in Stafford, in the Cosner’s Corner area of Spotsylvania, and at the entrance to Central Park in Fredericksburg.
- A Dairy Queen location is under construction at 51 Civilian St. next to the Waffle House along U.S. 17 in Stafford.
