Goats from Good Steward Farm are being used by Fredericksburg Parks, Recreation and Events to clear invasive species and performing landscaping tasks. A press release says, “this eco-friendly initiative aims to reduce the use of heavy equiment and chemicals in our city while managing vegetation.”
The goats are at Old Mill Park on the hillside. Farm personnel are caring for them daily, so don’t feed them.There’s an electric fence to contain the goats. The area is also under video surveillance for their safety.
