An arrest after threats at Caroline Middle School. The Sheriff’s Office says a student was allegedly overheard making threats of violence to occur at the school after the upcoming spring break. Those comments were relayed to the School Resource Officer.
Following a joint investigation by the School Resource Officer and Caroline County Public Schools staff, Caroline County Juvenile Intake issued charges against the student.
The Sheriff’s Office says investigators conducted a search of the juvenile’s home and, out of an abundance of caution, seized a 12 gauge shotgun believed to belong to a family member.

Their bravery and swift action embody the spirit of community and responsibility we strive to nurture in Caroline County. Safety within our schools is not negotiable. It’s a commitment that we uphold with the utmost seriousness and the immediate actions taken by Deputy Deitz and CCPS staff exemplify the strength and vigilance of our community.”
