Stafford Fire and Rescue and Quantico Fire and Emergency Services responded to an incident Saturday afternoon in the 2900 block of Richmond Highway, just north of Garrisonville Road.
Fire and Rescue spokeswoman Katie Brady says crews were faced with single-wide mobile home well involved with fire, with fire extending to the nearby woods.
She says firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the fire and brought the structure fire under control in less than 15 minutes. The brush fire, which burned approximately 1 acre, was brought under control in approximately 30 minutes.
The mobile home was not occupied, the fire was reported by multiple passersby. The fire is under investigation by the Stafford County Fire Marshal’s Office.
