The Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance in obtaining information in solving a double murder that happened late last month.
Sheriff’s Major Liz Scott says the homicides occurred on January 25th in the 10800 block of Heatherwood Drive.
Major Scott says detectives are requesting citizens in that area who may have observed any suspicious activity, have video footage, or have any information no matter how seemingly insignificant between Monday, January 20, to Saturday, January 25 to contact the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office or provide an anonymous tip through Spotsylvania Crime Solvers at 1-800-928-5822 or online at www.p3tips.com
Major Scott says It was determined after the autopsy by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner that the victims had been shot several times. She says detectives are working around the clock, continuing to follow leads and process evidence.
