Fast forecast

Brace for damp and cold across the Fredericksburg region Saturday, but a break is coming Sunday.

  • Cloudy and raw Saturday, with spots of light rain, drizzle
  • Saturday precipitation may start as some ice
  • Cold next week with several rainy periods

After some small showers during the pre-dawn hours Friday, a mostly sunny and milder day is ahead, but Saturday switches back to cloudy, cold, and damp.

Precipitation on Saturday will be light, sporadic, and focused in the morning. Some sleet is possible on Saturday, but it will mostly be rain and drizzle. Temperatures Saturday night remain above freezing, so no travel issues are ahead. Sunday will be warmer with sun and clouds.

Several systems will move across the Fredericksburg region next week, and while most will produce rain, a small chance remains for snow at the onset of the first one on Tuesday.

Expect normal temperatures next week:

Highs: Upper 40s

Lows: Upper 20s
