    Skechers plans to open its Fredericksburg store by March 6. The 8,700-square-foot store will be at 1370 Carl D. Silver Parkway in Central Park near Hobby Lobby.

  • Median housing prices in the Fredericksburg region increased 7 percent to $462,000 in January compared to the same month in 2024, according to data from the Fredericksburg Area Association of Realtors (FAAR). Homes spent about 38 days on the market before going under contract on average. Stafford County had the highest median sales price in January at $529,000, followed by King George County ($520,000), Fredericksburg ($510,000), Spotsylvania County ($438,530), Orange County ($399,999), Caroline County ($379,900) and Colonial Beach ($362,500).
  • Forty-five homes sold in the regional market last week, according to FAAR data. The list includes a $1 million-plus sale on Poplar Road in Stafford. Check back weekly for the new list.
  • A new record store called BUMRUSH Vinyl Shop is planned by mid-March at 2225 Plank Road in Fredericksburg’s Route 3 Village Center.

  • Two industrial condos totaling 47,680 square feet at 3550 Lee Hill Drive in Spotsylvania recently sold for a total of approximately $6.7 million, according to purchaser and broker Johnson Realty Advisors. The two condos are leased to Gemaire Distributors (16,000 square feet) and Foundation Building Materials (31,680 square feet).
  • The City of Fredericksburg issued certificates of occupancy last week to Fredericksburg International Christian Church at 1915 Charles St., and to Protect Each One Consulting LLC at 501 Westwood Office Park.
