  • Value City Furniture has opened its new store at 1731 Carl D. Silver Parkway in Fredericksburg’s Central Park shopping center. The company relocated its former store at 3545 Plank Road in Spotsylvania County.
  • Sixty-seven homes sold in the Fredericksburg region last week, according to data from the Fredericksburg Area Association of Realtors. That included a $1.86 million sale at Lake of the Woods (right). Check back each week for the list of home sales.
  • Fleming Therapy Services Inc. at 1955 Emancipation Highway in Fredericksburg and 2765 Richmond Highway in Stafford County is now Ivy Rehab for Kids.
  • ReEnvision Physical Therapy has opened inside the Gold’s Gym at 2380 Plank Road in Fredericksburg.
  • Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer recently published market reports for the region for the fourth quarter of 2024. The reports detail commercial real estate activity and data in the Fredericksburg region. Among the insights: there is some form of data center activity, planned or under construction, on close to 10,000 acres in the region.
  • Jarrell Properties, which is developing Cowan Station in Fredericksburg, is planning to build a 6,356-square-foot, one-story bank branch with a drive-through on the northern side of the development near U.S. 1. Jarrell is still courting a financial institution for the site and received a special use permit from the City of Fredericksburg last year for the project.
  • Fredericksburg has been nominated for USA Today’s 10 Best Small Town Beer Scenes 2025. People can now vote for Fredericksburg daily through Feb. 24 on the USA Today 10 Best Readers’ Choice website.
