by | Oct 11, 2024 | ALLFFP, Weather

Sunny and warm weekend on tap, but scattered frost may be ahead next week.

  • Brief weekend warm-up

  • No significant rain next week

  • Coolest air so far this season next week

No weather issues are expected this weekend. A weak system will pass by late Sunday and Monday, but it will probably keep its rain farther north toward Pennsylvania.

The coolest air so far this season arrives Tuesday, keeping afternoons in the 50s to near 60 and sending lows into the 30s and low 40s.

A freeze does not appear likely, but be mindful that frost is possible on a couple of nights next week, especially away from downtown Fredericksburg (Caroline, Culpeper, Spotsylvania, Stafford Counties).

After an especially active couple of weeks, there are no tropical systems expected to take shape next week in the Gulf of Mexico.

Normal temperatures for mid-October:

Highs: Around 70.

Lows: Mid-Upper 40s.
