  • Jewel Box at 212 William St. in downtown Fredericksburg will close Nov. 14 after 84 years in business. We will update with more details on this later.
  • Tobacco Station has leased 1,240 square feet of retail space at 85 Mine Road in Stafford County, according to Coldwell Banker Commercial Elite.
  • Valkyrie Enterprises, LLC has leased 15,412 square feet of industrial space at 4708 Ashley Dawn Court in Spotsylvania County, according to Coldwell Banker Commercial Elite.
  • Workspace Fredericksburg, LLC recently purchased 9500, 9510 & 9520 Cosner Drive in Spotsylvania from Massaponax Medical Properties LLC for $3 million, according to Coldwell Banker Commercial Elite.
  • A Tractor Supply Co. store is planned along U.S. 17 in Stafford near the intersection of Cardinal Forest Drive.
  • The new Silver Diner location at the entrance to Central Park in Fredericksburg is planning a November opening. People interested in working there can apply in person at 1255 Carl D. Silver Parkway or on the Silver Diner website.
  • Landon Davis and Chris Del Monte, via Second Horse LLC, purchased the car wash at 1711 Carl D. Silver Parkway in Central Park for $1.75 million, according to the monthly deed transfer report. They plan to call it Clean Car Wash & Detailing. The pair also owns The GoodWash at 2305 Plank Road in Fredericksburg (they had planned another GoodWash location on Dixon Street in Fredericksburg, but Del Monte said that is no longer in the works).
  • The Regal Theater location at 3301 Plank Road in Fredericksburg sold to CD Fredericksburg LLC in September for $3.7 million, according to the monthly deed transfer report.
  • Suad’s Majles cafe at 2619 Princess Anne St. in Fredericksburg will close Sunday, and the fully furnished cafe space is available for lease. Click here for details.
  • Canal Quarter Arts at 1517 Princess Anne St. in Fredericksburg has expanded, recently welcoming in artists from Darbytown Art Studio.
  • Richmond-based Cary Street Partners, which has a large presence in downtown Fredericksburg, recently was named to the 2024 Barron’s list of the top 100 registered investment advisor firms.
  • A 4,435-square-foot mixed-use property at 415 William St. in downtown Fredericksburg sold last month for $1.5 million. The buyer was Will I Am FXBG LLC — a partnership comprising Dan and Ginny Clendenin, and John and Krista Bryant. The buyers are exploring some minor facade improvements.
