Fredericksburg City crime report, Aug. 14-20

The following crimes were reported to the Fredericksburg Police Department from Aug. 14-20.

  • Larceny- All Other Larceny: 400 block Summit Street, 8/16, A person reported that her son’s bicycle was stolen from their front yard. 400 block Princess Elizabeth Street, 8/19, A person reported their bicycle was stolen from the front of their residence.
  • Assault- Simple: 1400 block Emancipation Highway, 8/14, While traveling on the City of Fredericksburg Transit Bus, a person reported that a male approached her and sat next to her. They engaged in conversation, but when his stop was approaching her leaned in and hugged and kissed her before exiting the bus.
  • Burglary/Breaking and Entering: Glass City Tobacco Vape Shop, 600 Caroline Street, 8/16, A person reported seeing three masked individuals breaking the windows of Glass City Tobacco Vape Shop. Upon further investigation, windows were shattered at two businesses, Glass City Tobacco and Global Threadz and Thrifts.
  • Robbery: 1800 Carl D. Silver Parkway, 8/14, A person reported being assaulted while walking near Target. Someone approached him and punched him in the face, causing him to fall and lose consciousness. When he came to, his backpack was missing.
