Two kayakers were pulled to safety from the Rappahannock River last night near the 300 block of Ingelside Drive in Falmouth.
According to Fredericksburg Fire Chief Mike Jones, joint operations by the Fredericksburg Fire Department and Stafford County Fire and Rescue began around 9 p.m., and efforts lasted approximately one and a half hours, resulting in a successful rescue.
Per the National Weather Prediction Service, the Rappahannock staged around six feet Friday night, above baseline but well below flood impact levels.
