Spotsylvania Fire Rescue and Emergency Management Chief Jay Cullinan and three other members of the department’s leadership are attending the Southeastern Association of Fire Chiefs (SEAFC) 2024 Conference in Cobb County, Georgia this week.  Cullinan says as a progressive department focused on continued improvement, it is vital to stay engaged as key players in the fire service at the regional, state, and national levels.

He says the education and meetings that occur at gatherings of fire service leaders not only assure they are prepared to handle future emergencies but he says participation also assures that Spotsylvania County is actively engaged in steering the future of  nation’s fire service.

Chief Cullinan currently serves as the SEAFC’s 2nd Vice-President, and will be sworn in as the 1st Vice-President later this week.
