The Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office says the county has been experiencing a large amount of vehicle break-ins. The Sheriff’s Office says here are several ways to prevent this from happening to you by taking these important steps:
– Lock your doors
– Remove your keys
– Remove any visible items to prevent curiosity
– Close your garage door
– Park your vehicle in well-lit areas
– Purchase motion detectors/outdoor cameras
– Put up a sign out that reads “Security Cameras in Use”
A Facebook posting by the Sheriff’s Office says: “Make securing your vehicle a part of your everyday routine!”
