Virginia is one of 15 states that will hold presidential primaries on Super Tuesday. Polls in the Commonwealth open at 6 a.m. and close at 7 p.m., according to the Virginia Department of Elections website. Anyone who’s in line to vote by 7 p.m. will be allowed to cast a ballot.
Voters can cast a ballot in either the Republican Presidential Primary or Democratic Presidential Primary, but not both. Many Fredericksburg-area residents have already taken advantage of an early-voting window that opened on Jan. 19 and concluded March 2.
