The week’s top stories

-And as if all of that wasn’t enough, a small plane crashed in Spotsylvania on Wednesday. Fortunately, the two people on board survived.

-Dead black vultures at the R-Board Regional Landfill in Stafford County have tested positive for avian influenza, though there are no reported cases of infections in people or cattle, Joey LoMonaco reports.

-Tree Fredericksburg founder Anne Little was honored Thursday during an Arbor Day Celebration for her service to the city. Little’s contributions were rooted in community support, Martina Nicholson writes.
