The Caroline Sheriff’s Office says qucik response halted a burglary in process and led to three arrests Thursday night.
The Sheriff’s Office says the incident happened at Bargain Village LLC on Route 1. The Caroline Emergency Communications Center received a call about suspicious activity at the business.
Deputy Perkins responded and was able to remain undetected. Deputy Perkins reported to other responding deputies that the suspects appeared to be actively breaking and entering into buildings on the property and stockpiling items to steal.
The Sheriff’s Office says Deputy Perkins was then able to sneak up to the suspects, one of which was carrying a set of lock cutters, and take them into custody without incident.
The suspects were identified as 40 year-old Gregory White, of Bowling Green; 39 year-old Jacob Hill, of Stafford; and 35 year-old Kristy Fitzgerald, of Bowling Green. They were found in possession of several stolen items that were being prepared for transport. Each faces multiple charges.
Following their arrest, all three individuals were held at Pamunkey Regional Jail without bond.
In a press release Sheriff Scott Moser said, “I am very proud of the work done every day by our CCSO deputies. We are dedicated to maintaining peace and security for all residents and businesses within our county. Working together, we can ensure our neighborhoods remain safe and strong.”
