Sorry, Fredericksburg: no white Christmas this year. Instead, a damp and chilly start to a much colder weekend with clouds and showers Friday. Expect a windy and cold Saturday.
Clouds and showers dominate on Friday with temperatures hovering in the 40s for most of the day. But the total rain will be small, about 1/10 of an inch.
It will be much colder this weekend, with temperatures 10-15 degrees below normal. No rain or snow is coming this weekend, but Saturday brings an especially gusty north wind, which will make it feel like the 20s most of the day.
No big storms ahead next week, meaning no white Christmas in or around Fredericksburg this year. With sun and clouds, temperatures on Christmas Day will go into the 40s.
Normal temperatures next week:
Highs: Upper 40s
Lows: Mid-upper 20s
