An 11,000-square-foot home at 2511 Wheatland Woods Drive in Spotsylvania County topped the list of area sales last week.

The home, which sits on 8.45 acres, features five bedrooms, eight bathrooms, 22-foot ceilings, a wine cellar that holds up to 6,400 bottles, a three-car garage, a pool and more. It sold for $1,685,000.

The only other seven-figure sale last week in the area was a home at 251 Poplar Road in Stafford County that went for $1,113,465.

Those two were among 79 area home sales last week, according to data from the Fredericksburg Area Association of Realtors. The data include home sales in Fredericksburg, Colonial Beach and Caroline, King George, Orange, Spotsylvania and Stafford counties. The median sales price for the week was about $460,000. The low was $265,000.
