Colonial Forge High School senior Kainat Ali has been selected to serve on the Governor’s Student Advisory Board for the 2024-25 school year. According to a news release from Stafford County Public Schools, Ali is an accomplished student known for her dedication to both academic pursuits and community involvement.
She’s an active leader at Colonial Forge High School, participating in the Army JROTC program, DECA, Orchestra, and the Virginia Income Tax Assistance program. In addition to her involvement in these programs, Ali has also completed an internship with Stafford Junction, where she served as a math tutor, demonstrating her commitment to supporting her peers and younger students.
“Kainat embodies the qualities of a true leader, with a commitment to service, academic excellence, and lifting up those around her,” Colonial Forge Principal Gregory Daniel said in the release. “Her voice on the Governor’s Student Advisory Board will bring positive insight and inspiration, and I am confident she will represent Colonial Forge and all Virginia students with pride and integrity.”
The board advises the governor on education policies that impact students across Virginia. Ali’s selection to the Governor’s Student Advisory Board is a significant honor, reflecting her dedication to academic excellence and community service.

Fulmer said. “Her selection to the Governor’s Student Advisory Board reflects her dedication and drive to make a positive difference, not only within our schools but also across the state. We know she will provide a thoughtful and genuine student perspective that will help shape education policy in Virginia.”
Upon graduating from Colonial Forge, Ali plans to attend a four-year college or university to study biology, chemistry, or biochemistry as she prepares for medical school with the goal of becoming a cardiothoracic surgeon. To gain additional experience in the medical field, she will also begin training for her EMT Certification while working toward her bachelor’s degree.
